Found on the streets of Sri Lanka, kottu roti is a popular street food. Having not ventured as far as the island country in the Indian Ocean, I can't profess to having experienced this mix of flat bread, meat and spices in its authentic form; however, it was brought to life and made appealing by Dini in her recipe on The Flavor Blender website.
While I chose to use lamb over chicken, I otherwise followed the recipe closely sourcing roti (rather than the temptation to substitute with tortilla wraps) and using the suggested recipe for a homemade Sri Lankan roasted curry powder.
Sadly, my presentation doesn't really do the meal justice. In the search for variety though it ticked all the boxes.
