My mission to cook 292 different meals in 2020 is intended as a whole family journey, but I recognise that sometimes the kids just want to load up on pasta or pizza. I'm willing to compromise for them occasionally and this evening was one of those nights.

Every month or so I cook up a fresh batch of tomato sauce. This means I can deliver up the odd bowl of pasta consoled by the fact that it comes with a healthy homemade sauce.

The cherry tomato version I took out of the freezer for the kids pasta tonight was a particularly good effort so I decided to serve a little alongside our sea bass and green lentils.
