This afternoon was filled with the excitement of a delivery from Windshiel Farm, an organic livestock farm in the Scottish Borders. While we can't always profess to being able to track where the food we eat comes from, knowing that our meat was raised and well reared locally is incredibly satisfying. It also happens to be full of amazing flavour too, meaning there is always a sense of anticipation when a delivery is due.

Today's order included four chunky organic pork chops. Easily an inch thick and weighing in at close to 1kg for the four, they were so appealing they went straight to the top of the menu list.

Gently pan fried, they produced a simple, yet hugely tasty meal served with potato salad and green beans.
